Chapters help to foster a continuous relationship with DU for out-of-state alumni. Being part of an alumni chapter is a great way to participate with the University while living in a community outside of Colorado. With self-sustaining chapters in a variety of major cities across the United States, there are many opportunities to meet other alumni and get involved at a local level.

Chapters are self-directed with the support of the Office of Alumni Relations. This approach allows alumni to be involved in a way that best fits their individual needs. Whether it is by way of regular member meetings or simply a chain of email communications, chapters can decide what works for alumni in their city. Organizing local events for alumni around academic, social or cultural activities, or facilitating professional networking opportunities, are just a few ways that chapters can utilize their common DU identity to connect with each other and the University.
